NOWE, Vincent Morton, 93, formerly of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, NS.

Born in Blockhouse, Lunenburg Co., Vincent was a son of the late Melbourne and Hilda (Weagle) Nowe.

Vincent was a man who had many passions and many talents. He was a skilled tradesman and an accomplished carpenter, something he instilled and passed along to his sons. Vincent was a school bus driver and also drove for Queens County Dairy. Vincent’s family and friends were his greatest joy.

Vincent is survived by his daughters; Judy Westhaver, Sandra (Earl) Whynot, both of Milton; sons, David (Sharon) of Milton, Gary (Cavelle) of Chelsea and Terry of Bridgewater;

Grandchildren, April, Trevor, Wanda, Jennifer, Nicole, Jamie and Shannon; 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren; brother Carl of Danesville.

Besides his parents, Vincent was predeceased by his wife Ellen (Manthorne); sisters, Alice Murphy, Hazel Mason, Mildred Whynot and Francis Whynot; brothers, Frank, Leo, Milford, Harry, Charlie and son-in-law Dougie Westhaver.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service to celebrate Vincent’s life will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of choice. The family would like to thank North Queens Nursing Home, for the excellent care and compassion given to Vincent while a resident there.
