Loader – Vickie J., 69, of White Point, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Liverpool, Vickie was the daughter of the late Phyllis Weagle and adoptive daughter of Jack and Ellen MacLeod.
Vickie entered the workforce as a Personal Care Worker at Victoria General Hospital in Halifax before joining the staff at Queens Manor. She eventually made a career change working at the Liverpool Superstore for 20 years until retirement. Vickie was full of joy and loved making those around her laugh with her silliness. She was a strong woman of faith, always with a word of encouragement and listening ear to those who needed it. She was sunshine and warmth and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Vickie is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Brian Loader; mother Ellen (Jack) MacLeod; daughters Damara Loader of White Point, and Janelle (Steve) Loader-Keough of Harbour Grace, NL. Her son Brennan (Ashley) Loader of Halifax. Her grandsons Morgan and Easton Loader. Her sister and best friend Valerie (Randy) Crouse of Middlefield and loving brother Brad (Linda) MacLeod of Windsor Junction.
Vickie was predeceased by her biological mother Phyllis, her adoptive father Jack MacLeod and youngest sister Paulette.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family burial took place, Monday May 26th 2025, with Pastor Fred Carr officiating.
