Williams - Stanley W., was reunited with the love of his life after 21 years on May 22, 2025 with his son, Peter, by his side.
Born in South West Port Mouton, Stanley was a son of the late Charles and Nina Williams.
Stanley went to school until the fourth grade when he went to work. He was a fisherman most of his younger life and then worked at fish plants until his retirement. He married Shirley (Williams) Bowers in 1971 and lived in South West Port Mouton. Stanley loved walking the roads talking to anyone he met. He would hop from house to house visiting family and friends enjoying a chat. When there was construction or anything going on in the neighborhood, you could guarantee he wasn’t far away. He always enjoyed visits with family, friends and more recently homecare workers.
The last few months had been a challenge with his deteriorating health but he would always take a stroll to see his great granddaughter.
Stanley is survived by his son Peter (Tammy) Bowers of Port Mouton; his step daughter Cindy (Todd) Gaudet of Bridgewater; his grandchildren Alecia (Andrew) Anthony of Port Mouton and Shayne of Mill Village; and his great granddaughter Isabella Anthony. His sisters Margaret Cunningham and Mildred Rhyno both of Liverpool as well as nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Williams)(Bowers), Sister Christine Fisher and brothers Lewis, Sydney and Clarence.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers, donations to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses that took care of Stanley at Queens General Hospital and South Shore Regional Hospital on his many visits.
