MacLeod - Stanley I., 80, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Stanley was a son of the late Stanley E. and Rosemary (Opiola) Macleod.

Stanley moved to Canada at a young age and spent his young adult years in Ontario. He soon met and married Dawn, the mother of his children, and moved to Nova Scotia.

He worked at Bowaters Mersey , first as an oiler then moved to the wrapping line crew for over 25 years.

He was a music lover; played guitar in many local bands such as Jackdaws, Free Wheelin’ and Shiloh, just to, name a few, and made many friends over the years entertaining others.

He was a believer of God and shared a respect if God with his mother who was a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

After suffering a debilitating stroke, he spent many of his final years in the care of others most notably Queens Manor where he was well cared for. Finally, he has moved on.

Stanley is survived by his children Mason (Denette Meisner), John and Erika as well as his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Stanley was predeceased by an infant sister.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
