CONNOLLY - Sharon A., 80, of Charleston, Queens County, passed away peacefully in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, NS, on Saturday, September 13, 2025.
Born in Liverpool, Sharon was a daughter of the late Zenas and Annie (Crouse) Johnson.
Sharon had an extensive working career working for both Queens General Hospital and later for Queens Manor as a C.A.A. Sharon had a passion for knitting and her sons commented on the beautiful heavy wool knitted sweaters they had all received over the years, with every new born that would arrive along came a beautiful knitted babies set including hat, sweater and booties. Sharon enjoyed both riding and owning horses, camping and family gathering, but above all else family meant everything. Sharon will be dearly missed by both her family and friends.
Surviving are her husband Jim; sons Kevin (Kim) of Liverpool, Kendall of Charleston and Kirk (Ann) of Oakhill; grandchildren Branden, Jacob, Skylar, Kayla, Patrick and Katelyn; great-grandchildren Jaxon, Serenity, Dennis and Lydia and great great-grandchild Brielle; sisters Janet (Ronnie) Clark of Middle Sackville, Joy McDonald of Charleston and Linda (Stan) Gapski of Dartmouth.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service will take place at a later date in Mill Village Community Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
Sharon’s family would like to thank all the staff of North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia for all their caring and compassion shown to Sharon during her stay.
