Rita Victoria Whynot

Whynot - Rita V., 78, of Halifax, formerly of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Halifax Infirmary on Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Born in Liverpool, Rita was a daughter of the late David Lloyd and Lettie Icilda (Wamboldt) Whynot.

Rita had a varied working career throughout her life, but the one she enjoyed the most was working at Halifax Bowlarama.

Rita is survived by her nephews Jeff (Darlene) Whynot and Albert Jr. (Susan) Whynot, both of Liverpool as well as five nephews.

Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her companion James Cross and her sister Sarah Whynot.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Gregory’s Catholic Cemetery, College Street, Liverpool, NS. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
