Alvey Mary Raymond

RAYMOND – Alvey M., 70, of Weymouth, NS, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, November 16, 2019.
Born in Ashmore, NS, Alvey was a daughter of the late Andrew and Elsie (Smith) Melanson.
Alvey was co-owner and operator of Raymond Seafoods, alongside her husband Ken. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Alvey is survived by her husband of 50 years, J. Kenneth; her sons Michel (Ruth Meagher) of Enfield; Kevin of Wolfville and Paul (Rosemarie) of Weymouth. Her grandchildren Matthew, Brooklyn, Kelsey, Brittany, Josh and Adrian. Her sisters Margaret (Andrew) Amirault of Edinburgh; Betty (Leonard) LeBlanc of St. Bernard; Jeanette Beliveau (Harry Johns) of Weymouth; Rita (Richard) Comeau of Meteghan; Dora Melanson of Halifax; Flora Melanson (Mike LeBlanc) of Grosse Coques; Nancy (Ronald) Gaudet of Lower Sackville. Her brother Robert (Lisa) Melanson of Ashmore.
Alvey was predeceased by her brothers Eldon and David.
