Ramona Joyce Weagle

d. April 4, 2024

Ramona Joyce Weagle, age 86, passed away peacefully at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on April 4, 2024 with family by her side . Although our hearts are saddened we feel blessed to have been part of this amazing woman's life.

She was born on June 22,1937 and was the only child of her parents Viola ( Ramey ) and Everett Freeman. She attended the community schools in Buckfield and Greenfield. She met the love of her life, Elmer Weagle, and they married on Nov 18, 1958  and settled into life in Buckfield where they raised their two sons, Everett and Richard.

Ramona was a pillar of the community throughout  her life participating in various local  organizations and groups over the many years . She had a great love of music and a strong faith and commitment to the local churches . She delighted in her role as organist and choir director throughout the years at Buckfield, Greenfield and ultimately Chelsea United Baptist Churches where she had only recently retired from this role at age eight-six . She had been a previous member of the Greenfield Fire Department  Auxillary as well as the local Senior's Group. She enjoyed card games with friends and knew all the rules and was a skilled knitter, one of her favorite hobbies.

Her greatest love however was family and she took so much pleasure in anytime that we could simply visit to any holiday or occasion that brought us all together which gave her so much joy. She relished in visits from her grandchildren and especially enjoyed when they dropped in for a chat.

She is survived by her sons, Everett ( Carmen ), Hebbville, and Richard, Buckfield as well as her grandchildren  Kirsten  Rachael (Eric),  Griffen, Garret, Greyden.

She was predeceased by her parents as well as her husband, Elmer, who only recently passed away in February 2024.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chandler's Funeral Home, Liverpool. A funeral service and celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Greenfield United Baptist Church with Pastor Cathy Ulhman officiating.
