Eudora Dawn Payzant

Eudora Dawn Payzant passed away peacefully at home on December 2nd, 2023, surrounded by her husband and children. 
Dawn was born in Buffalo, New York to Leslie and Norma (Joyce) Powell.
Dawn was a teacher and soccer coach at Berwick Academy in South Berwick, Maine for 23 years, where she made a tremendous impact on the lives of numerous students. When she moved to Nova Scotia, she worked at NF Douglas, where she quickly started forming relationships with members of the community. She then started a career with Queens County Home Support in 2004 where she continued to care for those in need. Her compassion never wavered. Dawn joined the North Queens Fire Association in 1994 where she was an active member for 25 years.
Dawn will be sadly missed by her husband of 41 years, Elliott Payzant, her son Ethan (Jennifer Gaudet), and daughter Alexi and grandchildren Munroe, Zaylin, and Ezali. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Edna Mae Greene and Carolyn Conrad as well as niece and nephew Madeleine and Ian of Oklahoma and nieces and nephews Brian, Janice, Wade, Carroll, Shelley, and Derrick along with many more grand nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in North Queens Fire Hall, Caledonia, NS. Reverend Carol Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North Queens Fire Association. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
