Patrick Clyde Burgess

Patrick Clyde Burgess passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 24th 2025 at South Shore Regional Hospital at the age of 79.

Patrick was born to Lockie and Irene ( Bowers) Burgess in Southwest Port Mouton at the family home.

The majority of Patrick’s working life was as a machinist at Michelin in Bridgewater. Over the years in Patrick’s personal life, he enjoyed eating anything sweet, playing lob ball, getting the local gossip at the post office, going camping, listening to music, laying on the beach under a tree in Cuba with a good book and playing pickle ball.

Patrick is survived by his wife Lucy (Huskins) of Port Joli. He is also survived by children Kelly (Andrew) of Pugwash, Glen (Tina) of Port Medway, Beth (Joanne) of Sackville, NB, Adam (Sophie) of Port Mouton. Grandchildren Olivia, Esmé and Coen.

Patrick is also survived by his sisters Sandra (Charlie) Gatzke of Lucasville and Joanne (Stanley) Conrad of Bridgewater and brothers Mac (Darlene) of Rawdon and Gordon (Cathy) of Port Mouton. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews and his cat, Max.

Besides his parents, Patrick was predeceased by sisters Carol Davis, Oressa Murphy and Faye Conrad.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS A private family ceremony is to take place at a later date.
