Whynot - Orris J., 76, of Milton, Queens County, NS passed away Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025 at home.
Born in Liverpool, Orris was a son of the late Edgar and Jennie (Foster) Whynot.
Orris worked for C.W. MacLeod Fisheries Ltd., Port Mouton, was a school bus driver in Queens County and a self employed painter. Orris was a man of faith and a devoted member of the Highway Pentecostal Church, Brooklyn, Queens County. Orris enjoyed wrestling, western movies, gospel music and was described as a fun loving joking man who would give you the shirt off his back. Orris was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Orris is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Carol Anne; daughter Debra (James) Drake of Walton, NS; sons James (Stephanie) of Bridgewater and Scott of Liverpool; grandchildren Rebecca, Nicole and Morgan; great grandchildren Davis and Juliet; brother Clyde of Liverpool.
Besides his parents, Orris was predeceased by his sister Marie Rhyno and brother Albert.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Oceanside Cemetery, Hunts Point. Donations may be made to the Highway Pentecostal Church, Brooklyn, NS or a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made below.
