Nelson E. Whynot

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nelson E. Whynot, 64, of Liverpool, at home on June 1, 2026.

Born in Liverpool, raised in Danesville, Nelson was a son of late Edward and Doris (Mailman) Whynot along with his four sisters Valerie (Charlie) Jollimore, Lorna (David) Walker, Marlene (Bruce) Maynard and Wanda (Peter) Snow.

Nelson enjoyed his life out at sea. When he wasn’t at sea, he was surrounded by his family whom he loved dearly. Family made Nelson into the kind, loving, hardworking man he was laying the foundation for our families lives. His kindness, patience and unwavering strength will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Nelson is survived by his wife Rhonda; his children Tamara, Desiree and Nigel and son in law Matthew Hiltz. Proud grandfather of Natalia, Mylah, Raylend, Koehn and Kianna.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Nelson’s request, there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com (below)
