Brenda Doreen Mckinnon

McKINNON – Brenda D., 61, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in VG Site, QEII, Halifax, NS.
Born in Liverpool, Brenda was a daughter of Hazel (Allison) Fisher of Port Mouton and the late Earl Fisher.
Brenda will be fondly and lovingly remembered as a kind, strong, caring and selfless person who would do pretty much anything for anyone in need. She loved her family but especially her children and grandchildren. She also loved the ocean, walking on the beach, the occasional glass of wine but, most importantly, appreciated the little things that life offered. She was known by her family as the “most employable person” they knew, who enjoyed shopping, but rarely bought much.
She is survived by her husband Brian; her daughter Mandy (Fred) Holborn of Brooklyn; her son Chad Schrader of Chester; her grandchildren Taylor, Paige and Cameron Schrader; Hunter and Neely Holborn. Her sister Karen (Lance) Roy of Liverpool; her brothers Brian (Leanora), Robin (Rosalin), Earl (Melanie), Martin (Shelley), Donaldson (Felicia), all of Port Mouton and Edward (Evelyn) of Milton.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral home, Liverpool where a celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow the service and will be held in the West Queens Recreational Centre. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens County S.P.C.A. or to S.H.A.I.D. Online condolences may be made to
