Marvin O. Williams

d. June 3, 2026

Williams, Marvin O. 78, of Beach Meadows Queens Co. passed away in the early morning on June 3, 2026.

Born in Liverpool, Marvin was a son of the late Don and Muriel (Colp) Williams.

Marvin spent his entire life in Beach Meadows, where he was always happiest outdoors. As a young man he worked for the Dept. of Highways, before securing a full-time job at Bowater Mersey Paper Company; where he spent over 30 years and made lifelong friends. Never one to sit still, his spare time was spent helping his parents, keeping livestock, tending two vegetable gardens, cutting pulpwood, helping family with lobster fishing or trips back to the ‘camp’. He loved to drive and many summers were enjoyed on family road trips to PEI. On evenings off he was happiest with a western to watch and some chips and dip. He was an active member of the community, being on several church committees, including the care of the cemetery. At the mill he was also part of the Bowater fire dept., the rescue team and the Haz-Mat team. He was very family oriented and loved their holiday parties and family fish fries. If you needed a hand, he would answer the call.

Marvin is survived by his wife Maureen (Greenough), daughter Kyla Williams and son-in-law Adam Larder and sisters Dale Wentzell and Kathy Williams.

Besides his parents, Marvin was predeceased by brother Lawrence.

Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the War Amps or the Huntington’s Society. A celebration of Marvin’s life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
