Cunningham - Margaret R., 88, of Liverpool, Queens county, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor, Liverpool on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, Queens County, Margaret was a daughter of the late Charles L. and Nina R. (Huphman) Williams.
Margaret was a former fish packer and cutter for C. W. MacLeod’s Fisheries, Port Mouton. She was an avid bingo player and loved country music, especially played by Dave Burbine, and enjoyed Friday Night Fever at the Mersey Branch #38, Royal Canadian Legion in Liverpool where she was a member of Legion’s Seniors Club. She loved to go shopping, (blue jeans and sneakers were her favourites!) eating out (fish and chips and coconut cream pie being the favourite, but dessert was ordered first!) and enjoyed her day trips to visit family.
Surviving are her niece Catherine Williams (who was just like a daughter to Margaret and Murray). Her sister Mildred Rhyno of Liverpool. Nieces Marlene Williams, Jeannie Williams and Joyce (George) Huphman. Great niece April Williams (April and her family held a special spot in Margaret and Murray’s life) mas well as special friends Corina (Willis) Huphman and Lorainne Dalby.
Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband Murray; Sister Chistina Small and her brothers Lewis, Sydney, Stanley and Clarence.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. in Zion Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. No flowers, donations to charity of choice. Online condolences may be made below.
