Mervyn Ingram Macnutt

With great sadness, the family of Mervyn I. MacNutt regrets to announce his passing on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia at the age of 85 with family at his side.
Mervyn was born in Milton, NS to the late Stanley and Laura (Martin) MacNutt.
The family later moved to West Caledonia. Mervyn left school at an early age to work in the woods with his father. He worked many years as a dozer operator. Mervyn set roots on Wolfe Street with his wife Donna (Baker) MacNutt, raising two children. Mervyn enjoyed sitting around listening to music, telling tales, reminiscing and being with family and friends. He had a soft spot for his grandchildren and being called Gramp.
Mervyn is survived by his son Jackie (Pat Mooers), granddaughter Holly (Nick) MacNutt, grandsons Cole (Brooklyn) MacNutt and Ryan (Maria) Lowe, Three great grandchildren. Sister Maxine and brother Victor and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mervyn was predeceased by his wife Donna (Baker) MacNutt, daughter Laura Lee (Lowe), great granddaughter Liberty, brothers Walter, Merrill, Lorne, Hallet, Gordon and infant Maurice. Sisters Marion, Amy, Betsy and Greta.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS.
A graveside committal service will take place Friday, October 20,2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool, NS. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
The family would like to send a tremendous thanks to the staff at North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia not just for the exceptional kindness and compassion over the last few weeks, but over the last two years.
