Langevin - Leo Andrew 89, of Summerville, NS passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026 at North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia, NS.
Born in Liverpool, Leo was a son of the late Leo and Lisa (Bedard) Langevin.
Leo lived a life defined by hard work, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. As a young man, he worked as a seaman aboard the Liverpool Rover until 1960. He later began a long and dedicated career with The Bowater Mersey Paper Company, where he earned the respect of his colleagues through his strong work ethic and commitment.
Outside of work, Leo found great joy in tending his vegetable garden. He took pride in nurturing the fruits of his labor and was happiest when he could share his harvest with family and friends. Music was another of his great passions. No matter where he was, if there was music playing, he would be dancing. His infectious smile, quick wit, and joyful spirit made him the life of every gathering.
Above all else, the love of his life was his beloved wife, Marilyn. They shared a lifelong partnership built on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. They were truly inseparable, and their love was an inspiration to all who knew them.
Leo is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Kim Power (Kris); his brother, Paul Langevin (Cheryl); his sister, Jeanette Byrne; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever cherish his kindness, humor, and generous heart.
Leo was predeceased by his cherished wife, Marilyn; his parents, Leo Langevin Sr. and Lisa (Bédard) Langevin; his brothers, Reginald Langevin, Doug Langevin, and George Langevin; and his sister, Theresa Charest.
Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A celebration of life for both Marilyn and Leo will take place Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with reception at Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Interment will take place at a later date.
His legacy is one of love, resilience, and joy. He taught those around him to work hard, appreciate life’s simple pleasures, and never miss an opportunity to laugh or dance. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, support, and condolences during this difficult time.
May he be reunited with the love of his life and dance together through eternity.
