Westhaver; Lawrence L., 89, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital on Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Born in Liverpool, Lawrence was a son of the late Thomas Whynot and Margaret (Munroe) Westhaver.
Lawrence was a machinist by trade and worked for Punk Farmer Irving, Budget Paving and owned and operated a gravel business. Following retirement, Lawrence did lathe work from home. He enjoyed playing the organ and was a member of the Queens Archery Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family and visits with close friends Philip Spraque and Ricky Pottie.
Lawrence is survived by his daughter Charlotte Westhaver (Jr. Himmelman) of Italy Cross, his sons Ronnie (Carmella) of Liverpool and Darrell (Melissa) of Rycroft, AB. Grandchildren Jason Selig, Samantha Huphman, Connor, Alexander and Tanner Westhaver. His great grandchildren, Elliemae Selig and Ashlyn and Lilli Huphman. His sister Bessie Lyle of Nanimo, BC.
Besides his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his son Murray, sister Loretta Whynot and brothers Dennis and Fred.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 3, 2026 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
