Oickle (Whynot) Laura Lee 

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Laurie Oickle, 61 of Richmond PEI on June 27, 2025.

Born in Liverpool, Laurie was the daughter of Herbert Jr. and Emma (Fisher) Whynot.

Laurie had a love for life and enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. Laurie spent her younger years on the Crusher Road just living her best life.

Laurie was a spitfire, she had a gift to gab and boy she knew how to have a good time!

She loved long drives with her husband visiting the beach and watching the foxes. She adored her time with her daughter and grandchildren; they meant the world to her.

Laurie loved country music, reading and watching Oak Island.

Laurie beat so many odds doctors said she wouldn’t- she was a real miracle

Laurie is survived by her loving husband Wade Oickle of 21 years. Daughter Candace Grant, grandchildren Dawson and Zoey Clattenburg all of PEI. Her niece Jill Wolfe of Truro and nephew Ashley Whynot of Halifax, great nieces Kennedy Croft and Olivia Whynot, great nephews Zackary and Bradley Croft and Brayden Swain, as well as many friends.

Besides her parents Laurie is predeceased by her sisters Joyce Whynot, Julieanne Whynot, brothers Jimmy Whynot and David Whynot and her niece Brooke Whynot.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Evangeline funeral home in PEI.

A celebration of life will be held with family and friends in PEI. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
