“JUNIOR” James William Olaf Oickle, 68, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in the QEII Halifax, after a short term illness.

Born in Liverpool, he was the son of the late Willis and Betty (Labrador) Oickle and Aunt Hazel and Uncle Bubby Mooers.

Junior loved his old cars and wrestling, he loved mowing grass with his special friends Ryan Foster and John Herman and his little partner in crime Minnie.

Junior is survived by his common-law partner of 46 years Pam Whalen, his daughter Amanda Oickle of Milton, NS, sons Cory Oickle (Paul Hallette) of Milton, NS, C.J. of Bridgewater, NS, sisters Cindy (Raymond Dolliver), Cherry (Larry) Whynot both of Liverpool, NS, Ardie & Keith Whynacht of Sandy Cove, sister-in-law Cindy Mooers of Milton, NS, brothers Sheldon Labrador of Port Medway, Dale Milroy of Halifax and Chuck of Milton.

Besides his parents, Junior was predeceased by sister Mae Schrader, brothers Jack and Buckey Mooers and grandson William James Frank Oickle.

Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. A service to celebrate Junior’s life will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool and the QEII Halifax, for the care and compassion shown to Junior during his stay.
