John Babin

BABIN, John Peter (Jean Pierre), 83, of Riversdale/Charleston, Queens County, Nova Scotia, was "called home" suddenly on May 29,2026. Born in Montreal, Quebec to Samuel Babin and Eva Giroux. John grew up and flourished in the Gaspe's.

John was Queens County Ground Search and Rescue communications man for several years. He was also "the" Tinsmith at Bowater Mersey for 20 years and a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church Middlewood.

John is survived by his wife of 28 years, CarolAnne (nee Krupa) and his son Terry (Joanne) Babin of Dartmouth, NS; Bill (Rita) Krupa, Northfield, NH; Will (Ashley) Krupa, Cut Bank, Montana; John & Great niece Everleigh Krupa, Manchester, NH; and Crystal (Joyce) De Vust, Clayton, NC.

In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by Colleen Shunamon, Daniel Babin and Evelyn Babin.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Please join us in a Celebration of John's Life on Thursday, June 25th at the Mill Village Fire Hall from 1-3 p.m. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice, Calvary Lutheran Church Middlewood or SHAID Animal Shelter, Bridgewater.
