Whynot - Jessie A., 80, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

           Born in Forfar, Scotland, Jessie was a daughter of the late Eugene and Agnes (Mitchell) Whynot.

           Jessie was a waitress at the former Stedman’s Store Lunch Counter in Liverpool as well as a waitress and cook at Dixie Lee Restaurant. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting and crossword books. Jessie loved spending time with her family especially her great grandchildren.

 Jessie is survived by her daughter Angela (Darrell) Hatt of Milton; her son Stephen (Patricia) of Brooklyn; her grandchildren Amy Hatt (Jonathan Anthony), Troy Hatt (Alicia Dodge) and Jennifer Whynot (Michael Daury). Her great grandchildren Caleb, Myles, and Madelyn Anthony, Evan Hatt and Jacob and Jessica Daury. Her sister in law Linda Whynot of Liverpool. 

 Besides her parents, Jessie was predeceased by her husband James Wm. “Bruddy”, her sister Elizabeth “Betty” Mooers , her brothers Earl, Donald in infancy and an infant twin brother.

 Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside funeral service will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the IWK Hospital, Halifax. Online condolences may be made below.
