Jerry Page, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away on July 3, 2025, at Queens General Hospital in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
Born in Kingston, Ontario, Jerry was proud to say that he “lived from coast to coast”. Among the many places he called home, he especially cherished his time in Yellowknife, NT, where he worked deep underground in a gold mine and met his wife, Sophie. He also loved living in the Comox Valley, Vancouver, BC, where he was self-employed for many years, and later returned to Ontario, settling in Elgin in the Rideau Lakes area. After retirement and vacationing in Nova Scotia, Jerry and Sophie moved again, embracing the beautiful beaches of the South Shore.
Jerry was known for his good sense of humor and sarcastic wit. He was an avid gardener and left beautiful gardens at every home he lived in. He dearly loved his dogs and will be missed by his little buddies, Jack Spaniel and Jewel.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Sophie Sharpe; his sister, Donna Page; special nephew and niece, Michael and Crystal Fenwick; and a large circle of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ray Bruce and Kathleen (née Morey), and his sisters, Janis Berthiaume and Patsy Varrette.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. As requested, there will be no service. Online condolences may be made below.
