Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother and matriarch of her family. She was often found walking the Trestle Trail and had many friends in her neighbourhood. She enjoyed cooking, knitting and taking care of her family, especially Michael who has lived with her for the last 24 years.
Betty is survived by her daughter Dorothy Peach; grandsons Michael Peach (Wanda Roy), Darren (Krista) Peach and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sophie Peach; sisters Evelyn Everett and Christine Slauenwhite; brothers Borden (Carol) Whynot and Denny (Gloria) Whynot and many nieces and nephews.
Besides Betty’s parents, she was predeceased by her husband Burnell Ross; sister Sylvia Corkum; brothers Roger, Eldon, Earl and Max Whynot.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.H.A.I.D. animal shelter.
