Eleanor R. Cluett

Cluett - Eleanor R., 74, of Middlefield, formerly of Charleston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Liverpool, Eleanor was a daughter of the late Harry and Elva (Cahoon) Cross.

Eleanor worked in retail in her early years, owned and operated a fruit and vegetable business alongside her husband Garnet and worked for HGS Canada for twelve years before her retirement. Eleanor was a former member of Queens County CB Club and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Queens County Ground Search and Rescue. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, word games, music and her fur grandbaby, Roxy.

She is survived by her son, Dwayne (Candice), of Beach Meadows.

She was predeceased by her sister, Dawn Mitchell and her brother Glenn.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service for both Eleanor and Garnet will be held Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Brooklyn Community Cemetery, Highway #3, Brooklyn. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Queens General Hospital Foundation or to Hillsview Acres.
