Dorothy M. Langille

It is with sadness and love that the family of the late Dorothy Marie Langille, 88, of Liverpool, convey the news of her peaceful death on Saturday, September 19, 2026 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Liverpool, Dorothy was a daughter of the late James and Elsie (Peach) Morton she was the last surviving member of her family. After her children were in school, Mom returned to working outside of the home at the IGA and then the office of TRA. She sold Avon for many years making many friends along the way. In her younger years, she enjoyed working her flower gardens. She loved her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren as they came along.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter Dianne (Philip) Everett, son Adam (Linda R.) daughter in law Linda F.E. Oickle, chosen step daughter Charlotte (Bobby) Kelley, Grandchildren Andrew Weldon, Ceilidh Weldon, Shea Lynn (Garfield) Levy, Steven (Amanda) Oickle, Rebecca Kapalko, Holly Oickle, Wm. MacKenzie (Carol Ann) McLain, Kaylah McLain (Adam Corkum), John (Katrina) Kelley. Great grandchildren Andrew, Desmond, Emmett, Riley and Devlin and Step grandchildren Jordan, Isaac, Owen, Kallie, Weston, Maeve and Millie. Her sisters in law Elsie Morton and Shirley Morton. Also her special companion Thomas Verge.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband Gerald Oickle and her second husband Murray Langille, her son Fred, her grandson Timothy Oickle. Her sister Clara Dorey and her brothers Douglas, James and Ralph.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Bog Road, Liverpool. Reverend Ruth MacNeil officiating.
