Diane Munro

Munro - Diane, 86, of Liverpool, N.S. passed away peacefully at Queens Manor, Liverpool on Wednesday Dec. 17,2025 with family by her side.

Diane was born in New Glasgow N.S. to John and Marion Sinclair and was raised in Middleton, NS.

Diane graduated as an RN from the VG in 1963 (Class of 63A) and was a VON nurse in Queens County for most of her nursing career. After retiring in 1999, she enjoyed travelling with family and friends to many wonderful destinations. She particularly enjoyed her many winter stays in North Myrtle Beach. She was the “expert” in suggesting great restaurants and places to shop for the best deals.

Diane was a former member of Zion United Church, Liverpool and a member of the Milton Christian Church. Diane was an avid bridge player and she played in one group for well over 50 years. Those ladies had great times together. She cherished times spent together with her family and always looked forward to seeing everyone together.

Diane is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ian; Daughters Paula (Jim), and Pam (Wes); Grandchildren Kyle, Channing and Ben. Great grandchildren Layla, Maya, and Malcolm.

Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her brothers John and Barrie.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers Funeral Home, Liverpool.

At Diane’s request there will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s memory may be made to Queens Manor, Queens County Food Bank or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
