Delbert R. Weare

WEARE - Delbert R., 84, formerly of Caledonia, Queens County, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Queens Manor, Liverpool.

Born in Liverpool, Delbert was a son of the late Lester and Hilda (Carver) Weir.

Delbert graduated from North Queens High School, Caledonia, NS and enlisted in the Army. Following his army career, Delbert completed trade school to become a red seal mechanic. Delbert’s specialty was electrical problems and he was very accomplished at repairing both alternators and starter motors. He was known as a “jack of all trades” type of person.

Delbert is survived by his daughter Bonnie Weare-Fancy of Bridgewater, NS, sons Rodney of North Brookfield, NS and Fred of Caledonia, NS. Grandchildren Grayson, Rebecca, Leander and Abigail and great-grandchildren Santana, Caster and Savannah.

Besides his parents, Delbert was predeceased by his wife Mary.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS.

There will be a graveside service Friday, July 11, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Harmony Cemetery, Harmony, NS. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens Manor, Liverpool, NS or charity of choice. On line condolences may be made below.
