David Blake Conrad

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David “Blake” Conrad at the age of 66 on June 16, 2025 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, NS.

Blake was better known as D. B. Conrad: The Tax Man. He was a simple man with simple pleasures. He loved his ducks and their babies and his flower gardens. But, what he most enjoyed was to sit in his wood house, on his rocking chair, with a beer while watching his ducks.

Those remaining to mourn his loss are Jo-Anne M. Wentzell, Blake’s common law partner of 22 years, his brothers Neal, Darren, Scott (Victoria), Reid (Bonnie), Corey (Tina) and Jody (Kathleen), his sisters Wendy Skinner and Shelley (Kevin) Deveau, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Blake was predeceased by his parents Carmon Conrad and Erma Conrad (nee Parnell) and his sister-in-law Wendy Kelly-Conrad.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. There will be a celebration of life and a private family graveside service at a later date.
