Not feeling the “Christmas Spirit” this year? The constant barrage of joyous overtones getting to you? The constant noise of happy holidays on the radio, TV, in stores and, yes, even in churches adding to your emotional stress? Not to mention all the bad news surrounding the pandemic this year. There is a lot to take in and deal with at a time when we are supposed to be celebrating. The loss of a loved one, a broken relationship, insecurity of employment, the inability of being able to travel to see loved ones and even the loss of a beloved pet can add to the stress of the holidays. It can become overwhelming in a society so bent on being happy and celebrating at this time of year.
It’s at this time we need to look after ourselves, make space for calm contemplation, acknowledge our sadness and our concern for the future. We need to know that we are not alone in this chaos, that there are others experiencing the same feelings and raw emotions. For these reasons, we wish to invite you to a service at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel. “Comfort at Christmas” is a service for sharing and hearing prayers, Scripture, music and quiet meditation. It is for those in our extended community who mourn and who are struggling at this particular time. We take time to acknowledge God’s presence, His Word, His Peace to shine light into our darkness.
Please accept this invitation to join us, pandemic restrictions permitting, of course. Please check with us either by phone or by checking our website for updates on our service. If attending, please bring a mask and provide us with contact tracing information at the door . Feel free to invite someone you know who might be having difficulty and might benefit in joining us.
Those attending the service are asked to provide proof of vaccination, covid tracing information and wear a mask at all times while in the funeral home. Hand sanitizing and social distancing is encouraged whenever possible.

Live streaming of the service will be available at service time.
