Charles Roger Sarty

(Charles) Roger Sarty, 85, of Summerville Centre, Port Mouton, NS, passed away on June 13, 2025, at North Queens Nursing Home.

Roger was born in Liverpool, NS, a son of the late Charles and Marion (MacDonald) Sarty.

Roger spent his youth in Liverpool, NS, many of his working years in Ontario, finally returning to the Liverpool area to spend his semi-retirement and retirement 'home'. The middle part of his life while he lived in Ontario he worked in sales and purchasing at Simpson's, and then started up his own successful business. He was a man of compassion, with a love of the outdoors and music, and fierce love for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Margaret Sarty of Summerville Centre, NS; sister Verna Bleiker of Victoria, BC; brother 'from another mother' Dick Henneberry of Liverpool, NS; mother to his four children, Colleen Sarty of Toronto, ON; children Scott Sarty of Toronto, ON, Sean Sarty of Bancroft, ON, Tonya Carson of Belfast, Ireland, Monica Sarty of Toronto, ON; grandchildren Matthew, Elijah, Christopher, Breen, Simone, and Dylan; great-grandchildren Jinora and L'ir.

Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his siblings Henry, Jack, Wallace, and Muriel.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Zion Cemetery on Payzant Street in Liverpool, NS.
