Catherine Ann Williams

d. January 10, 2026

Williams - Catherine Ann “Cathy”, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, at the age of 70, with her special friend Corina holding her hand as she took her last breath.

Born and raised in Southwest Port Mouton, Cathy was a fun loving person who had a heart of gold who would give you the shirt off her back. She loved to go visit her sisters; Marlene in Roseway Manor and Jeannie in Ryan Hall. We would make a day and go shopping then visit and have supper at the Blarney Stone or Scotia Lunch. Cathy’s favorite meal was fish and chips, onion rings and coconut cream pie.

Cathy had many health issues but it never slowed her down. I could do laps around Walmart trying to find her but she was faster in her wheelchair than I was on foot. When her health declined, Cathy moved to Queens Manor where she made a few special friends, Dee, Margo and Cindy. Cathy was loved by all the staff as well. Along with the nursing staff, they came to say their goodbyes to Cathy.

Cathy was an avid artist and drew many pictures of the staff and animals. Staff said they still have her drawings on their fridge.

Cathy is survived by by her sisters Marlene of Shelburne, Joyce (George) Huphman of Southwest Port Mouton, and Jeannie of Bridgewater, Ruth Fisher of Ontario. Her brothers Gilbert Williams of Shelburne, Ray Fisher of Southwest Port Mouton and Frank Fisher of Shelburne as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend Lorraine.

Cathy was predeceased by her mother Christina, her companion Roger Jollimore, grandparents Charlie and Nina Williams and special aunt Margaret who was like a second mom to Cathy.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Zion Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Queens Manor or to the Dialysis Unit at Queens General Hospital. Online condolences may be made below.

The family would like to thank Queens Manor for their excellent care and compassion given to Cathy while a resident there. She touched the lives of so many and left an impact on whomever she came into contact with. To Dr. Amy McMullen and the nurses on Queens General Medical floor for the excellent care given to Cathy in her final days.
