Burns, Elizabeth Marie, age 96, of Eagle Head, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28th, 2015, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Port Medway, Queens County, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Muriel (Parnell) Clattenburg.
She was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Eagle Head, for many years and a member of the Hill Top Seniors Club. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, Liverpool. Above all else, Elizabeth was most passionate about her family and spending time with them as well as her many friends over the years.
She is survived by daughters, Heather (Kevin) Morrison, of Bridgewater, Jean (Charles) Wentzell, of Brooklyn; son, Ronald (Barbara), of Mill Village; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Vera Bagley, of Bridgewater.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Chester; sister, Evelyn; brothers, Harley and Everett.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., on Sunday, May 31st, 2015, and a funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1st, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Reverend Bonnie Baird officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Redeemer Anglican Cemetery, Port Medway. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
