Melvin Bertram Burgess

BURGESS – Melvin B., 81, of Port Joli, Queens County passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Wednesday, January 28, 2015.
Born in Lower Sandy Point, Shelburne County, he was a son of the late Melvin and Marion (Faye) Burgess.
Melvin was a fisherman all his life and worked in the woods. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his daughter Cindy (Ashley) Whynot of Milton, grandson Jeremy (Brittany Rhyno), niece Corinne Wolfe of Liverpool and his best friend “Bear”.
He was predeceased by his wife Connie (Roy) and his brother Charles.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Melvin’s request, there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to the family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
