Blantford William Nickerson

Nickerson - Blantford William “Willie”, 80, of East Port l’Herbert, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Born in Cape Sable Island, Willie was a son of the late Blantford and Ethel (Atwood) Nickerson.

Willie was a fisherman all his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family.

Willie is survived by his wife Mary (Himmelman); his daughter Linda (Lindsay) Nickerson of Sandy Point; his son Murray (Lisa Hushard) of Middle Ohio, his grandson Brandon Nickerson, his sister Gloria Nickerson (Harry)of Shelburne and his brother Wayne of Vancouver, BC.

Besides his parents, Willie was predeceased by his brother Belton.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A graveside funeral service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
