Betty Melrose Cunningham

CUNNINGHAM - Betty Melrose,67, of Liverpool, Queens County, N.S., passed away peacefully with family by her side at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, N.S. On Friday, October 9th, 2026.

Born in Liverpool, Betty was a daughter of the late Douglas and Mary Whynot.

Betty loved to do crafts, spend time with her dog Sandy and shopping.

Betty is survived by her loving husband Bradford; sisters Donna (Michael) Langley, Barbara (Darren) Dagley and Susan Buchanan; brothers Donald (Patsy) Whynot, Richard (Heather) Whynot, Phillip (Loraine) Whynot and Stephen Whynot; Betty also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved all.

Besides her parents, Betty was predeceased by her sisters Patsy Croft and Judy Risser. Brother Enos Whynot.

Cremation has taken place under the direction and care of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. A graveside service will take place at a later date in Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool, N.S. No Flowers by request of the family. Donations may be made to any charity of your choice.
