Bernard "Buzz" Charles Neilson

Neilson - Bernard “Buzz” C., 94, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Surf Lodge, Lockeport on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Born in Liverpool, Buzz was a son of the late Charles and Rose (Brundell) Neilson.

Buzz was an employee for the former Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited, Brooklyn for over thirty years. He was a member of Prince of Wales #29, Masonic Lodge in Milton as well as Rossignol Chapter #6, Antiquity Preceptory and the Philae Shriners. Buzz was a member of the Milton Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

Buzz is survived by his daughter Patricia Fraser of Halifax, his son Derek of Milton; his grandchildren Mike (Heather) Murphy, Ryan (Jen) Neilson, Zachary Neilson, Whitney (Ryan) Sallach and great granddaughter Rory Sallach.

Besides his parents, Buzz was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Eileen (Cole) and sisters June Hatt, Joyce Neilson, Sally Bush and Eileen Craig.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where visitation will be held Monday, November 24, 2025 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. with a masonic service being held at 7:30 p.m. and funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Deborah Thibault officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be in Milton Community Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital or a charity of your choice.
