Barbara Elaine Meharrie

Meharrie - Barbara E., 67, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.

Born in Campbellford, ON, Barbara, was a daughter of the late Maxwell and Vedra (Bartley) Meharrie.

Barbara enjoyed woodworking, making small buildings, usually whole towns, lighthouses, etc. some were made out of Stone and deer antler. She loved any type of gardening and doing renovations to her and Murray’s home. She loved animals especially her dogs of which she had tattoos done. She liked taking care of her brother’s farm in Chilliwack, BC when they would go on holiday. Barbara’s favorite song was “Into the Mystic” by Van Morrison. Into the mystic was also tattooed on her arm. Her favorite colours were purple and black and she enjoyed dancing to music from the 50’s. On Saturday nights, she and Murray would play 50’s music, dance, play pool and darts.

Barbara is survived by her companion of 39 years, Murray Hatt. Her sisters Maureen and Sharon and her brothers John (Doris), Peter (Joanne) and Donald.

Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her brothers Fred and Richard.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool NS. At Barbara’s request, there will be no funeral service. Online condolences may be made below.
