Andrew Howard Baker

d. March 31, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Andrew “Andy” Howard Baker, who left us on March 31, 2026—gone too soon.

Andy was a devoted father, uncle, brother, and coach—roles he carried with pride and care throughout his life.

As a coach, Andy made a lasting impact on the lives of those he guided. He was patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in the people around him—someone who showed up, encouraged others, and helped them grow both on and off the court.

He shared a uniquely close and lifelong bond with his twin brother, a relationship that was at the heart of his life. He was also deeply connected to his siblings and family, always valuing time spent together and the strength of those relationships.

Andy was also a passionate sports fan whose enthusiasm was impossible to miss. He was a devoted supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, and Toronto Blue Jays, and proudly cheered on the Indianapolis Colts. A complete stat-head, he had an incredible memory for numbers, records, and moments, and was known for being exceptional at sports trivia. Whether watching a game or talking about one, Andy brought energy, insight, and a deep love of sport to every moment.

Early in his career, Andy distinguished himself through his intelligence, drive, and determination, building a foundation of success that reflected both his sharp mind and strong work ethic.

He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—good conversation, time with family, and a cold Oland Export in hand.

Andy will be remembered for his loyalty, his humour, and the profound impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

In keeping with his wishes, a private cremation has taken place, and his ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic Ocean in Lockeport, alongside his twin brother’s ashes.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to watch a game, raise a glass, and think of Andy.
