Whynot; Frances Irene, age 93, of Liverpool, Queens County, NS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Queens Manor, Liverpool.

Born in Blockhouse, Frances was a daughter of the late Melbourne and Hilda (Weagle) Nowe.

Frances was a strong women with a great sense of humor. She did not know the meaning of the word can’t. There was nothing she was scared to fix or build. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening in her younger years and she was also known as a great baker and cook. Frances greatest joy in life was her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her life. She would do everything and anything for them.

Frances is survived by daughters, Jacqueline (Richard) Mansfield, Linda (Wayne) Henley, both of Liverpool; son, Carmon (Karen Wood) of Alberta; grandchildren, Robert, Kathleen, Cheryl, Samantha, Christopher, Trevor and Michael; great grandchildren, Grace, Ben, Nathan, Sarah, Henry, Ashlynn, Lily, Carter, Allie, Zoey and Zackery; brothers, Vincent of Caledonia and Carl of Danesville.

Besides her parents, Frances was predeceased by her loving husband, Wallace; son, Bernard; sisters, Hazel Mason, Mildred Whynot, Alice Murphy and infant sister, Prinsetta; brothers, Frankie, Leo, Milford, Harry and Charlie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2023, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm, and a funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29th, at 1:00 pm, both from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. We will cherish the impact she made on our lives and the fond memories of love and laughter we shared with her. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
