
NOWE – Freda Virginia, 84, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital on Wednesday, march 28, 2018
Born in Port Medway, she was a daughter of the late Hastings and Violet (Dauphinee) Wamboldt.
Freda worked in fish processing at the fish plant in Port Medway for many years. She was a former member of the Port Medway Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Freda was most passionate about her family and spending time with them especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila (Leslie) Wolfe of Dartmouth. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren Travis (Holly) Wolfe and their children Sam and Marcus, Courtney Wolfe (Chris MacRae) and their daughter Gabrielle and Ben Wolfe. Her sisters Nora (Arnold) Whynot of Port Medway and Evelene (Raymond) Wolfe of Milton.
Freda was predeceased by her husband Lester, her son Lester LeRoy Jr., her sisters Kathleen Lockwood and Eileen Wamboldt and her brother Amos.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Redeemer Anglican Cemetery, Port Medway. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
