
NELSON – Roxy D., 85, of Greenfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Wednesday, June 5, 2019.
Born in Milton, Queens County, Roxy was a daughter of the late Percy and Lillian (Leslie) Hartlen.
Roxy worked in various restaurants and was a cook at the former Fahie’s Nursing Home in Liverpool. She kept house for various families and was an auxiliary member of the Greenfield and District Fire Department for 27 years. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother as well as a good cook.
Roxy is survived by her husband Harry; her daughter Susan Nelson of Greenfield; her sons David Fralic of Liverpool and Ricky Nelson of Halifax.; her grandson Ryan Nelson.
Roxy was predeceased by her sisters Doris McCulley and Louise Bernard and her brothers William and Cleveland.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. There will be a graveside memorial service Saturday, June 29th at 10:00 a.m.in Pine Rest Cemetery, Greenfield.
