MUNROE, Peggy Lee, age 60, of Lockeport, passed away peacefully on August 8th, 2023 with her family at her side.
Peggy was born on May 19th, 1963 and spent much of her life in her hometown of Lockeport.
Peggy took great pride in and was very passionate about her teaching career. She loved children and made many great friends along the way.
She and her mother spent many hours shopping and were very close. She also enjoyed bowling in the league, she was always fun, bubbly and had a smile on her face. She was always up for a new adventure.
In her retired years, she enjoyed crafting, spending time with her family and friends, and volunteering. Holidays and birthdays were her favorite, (mostly because she had an excuse to shop and give to others) and she really enjoyed getting to see family, and of course, a good meal. She loved the summer, spending time at the beach and the outdoors.
Peggy loved her family dearly and enjoyed every moment she spent with them. She met her husband, Kevin, in 1985, married in 1987 and they spent 36 beautiful years together. Her family were her world. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Munroe, daughter, Mallory (Eddie) Hartley, and son, Regan Munroe. She will be forever in our hearts.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. As per Peggy’s wishes, a celebration of life will be arranged at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

Dear Kevin, Mallory & Eddie and Regan:
I am so sad to hear of Peggy’s passing and I send my most sincere condolences to all of you. Although I haven’t seen Peggy since you left Pleasant Point, I thought of you all often and reminisced about earlier times … including our years together in the mixed bowling league at Beech Lanes. Our team, “The Warthogs” was a force to be reckoned with! Remembering Peggy’s vibrant personality, her laughter and her compassion and kindness to others always brought a smile and warmed my heart – and always will. Know that I and many others will treasure our wonderful memories of Peggy and hold you all in our hearts at this sad and difficult time.
