Munroe – Christopher Alan, age 61, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 17th, 2021 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Liverpool, Chris was a son of the late Harold and Margaret (Leslie) Munroe.
Chris spent most of his working life as a self employed lobster fisherman. He was known as a hard worker and he gave it from sun up until sundown on most days. He would do anything for anybody and never ask for anything back in return. Chris loved to have fun and make people laugh. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving his John Deere tractor and listening to music. He will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends.
He is survived by his loving companion, Leslie Robar; daughter, Josie Munroe (Luke Grant); step son, Michael (Erin) Robar; grandson, Augustus; sisters, Patty (John) Campbell, Suzanne (Bob) Parnell; brother, Jeff; his beloved K-9 companion, Bailey; many nieces and nephews;  great nieces and  a great nephew.
A Celebration of Chris’s Life will be held on Monday, November 22nd, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
Those attending Chris’s service are asked to provide the funeral staff with proof of vaccination, identification and contact tracing information. Also, all are to bring a mask and practice social distancing whenever possible.

    Chris and I became good friends in a short period of time. He introduced me to harvesting mussels , deer hunting and the simple, important things in life. Chris was never idle and could sling a chainsaw and drive a tractor like a Porsche. Always with Bailey by his side.
    Recently, on a calm, clear night on our way back from Great Island in Chris’s boat he looked at me with a smile and said,” Why would you ever want to leave here”! Truer words were never spoken.

    Jose, your dad was so looking forward to your upcoming wedding and clearing the land for your future home that would merely be a short walk from his house. He was so happy to be able to do this for you and loved you so much.

    Chris, my time in NS will forever be changed. I will miss miss you stopping in on your tractor to have coffee. I will miss your smile, your laugh, your hardworking nature, your humor, your kindness and more than anything your friendship.
