William James “Bill” Mosher

MOSHER – William James, 69, of Hunts Point, Queens County, formerly of South Brookfield, passed away peacefully in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater on Friday, April 7, 2023 with family by his side.
Born in Caledonia, Queens County, Bill was a son of the late Lester and Jean (Beveridge) Mosher.
Bill was a friend to all that knew him and always had time to stop and chat. He had a great passion for his family and loved his two grandsons Ashton and Austyn (“Little”) beyond words. Bill enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles and old cars and spent many hours tinkering with them and polishing them as much as he rode them. One of his greatest memories was a motorcycle trip across Newfoundland with daughter Tara and her husband Ryan. He also enjoyed attending Wharf Rat Rallies with his friends.
Bill enjoyed travelling south in winter with his wife and family; the last trip being to Cuba with his son Chris and his wife Jacklyn and his grandsons a month before he was diagnosed. We always said it was a trip meant to be.
Bill’s largest passion was the love of his family and would go above and beyond for them; phoning or texting almost daily to keep in touch. He had a passion for animals especially his dog Ochen, who hardly left his side.
Bill was employed at Michelin Tire for 20 years, moving on to the trucking industry holding positions as driver, supervisor and driver trainer for various companies.
Bill leaves to mourn his wife of nearly 47 years Mona (Swayzie); his daughter Tara (Ryan) , son Christopher (Jacklyn) and grandsons Ashton and Austyn. Sister Lorna Cole and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins near and far.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother in law John Cole.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Lunenburg Queens Palliative Care, Canadian Cancer Society or to S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
Bill’s family would like to thank all those who passed along their condolences online as well as a special thank you to North Queens Medical Centre, Dr. Rafferty, who was a friend as much as a doctor, Dr. Delong, the palliative care team, VON staff and oncology team, both in Halifax and Bridgewater.
