Condolence from Glenda( Belmore) Burrows on February 11th, 2010 6:29 pm

Dear Lorna and Family
I am so sorry to hear of your father’s death. Although I have not seen you or been in touch for many years, reading your father’s obituary brought back many memories. I remember how kind both of your parents were to me when I came to stay with you for a short time in the summer of 1961,. My father, Bernie spoke highly of both your mother and father and was so happy that we became penpals.
It sounds as though your father had a full and long life. That is so wonderful. However, I know that it dosen’t ease the sadness or the grief. Please convey my thoughts and sympathy to all of your family and especially your mother.

Take good care
Glenda (Belmore) Burrows

Condolence from Marco Wieser on February 22nd, 2010 9:23 am

Mona just sent me an e-mail and informed me of Lester’s death and I struggle now to find the right words. It’s already hard in my own language, not to say in a foreign one. And what are the right words anyway when it comes to the death of a beloved person? I don’t know, but I remember myself of something Lester often said to me, when I was invited over for a nice dinner: don’t be bashful. He was right and so he’ll always take a place inside my mind, cause he really was one of a kind. My thoughts are with all of you that I had the pleasure to meet during my short time in Nova Scotia. Hope you’re doing well. marco
