MOREAU – Richard G., “Ritchie”, 58, of Port Medway, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 5, 2018 as a result of a tragic boating accident in Port Medway Harbour.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Linwood and Doris (Clattenburg) Moreau.
Ritchie was a fisherman all his life. He was a former employee with Medway Fisheries before starting his own business with his companion “Liz”, R&L Seafoods. Ritchie was sadly predeceased by his companion, the love of his life, Ileta “Liz” O’Connell.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 7 until 9 p.m. with a tribute prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Port Medway Fire Department. Dear Kathy I always thought a lot of you and your family and all.the times I remember Richie over the years he always was good natured and happy to chat with me about fishing. The plant when we unloaded fish, baited trawl, kyack season and visits to his truck when I came home. I know I won’t see him on the waters from the shore at dads anymore but I have faith he is not alone but in the company of all the other good people from our fishing community telling some big fishing stories right now.
