Condolence from Pam Foley on July 29th, 2020 12:29 pm

I’m saddened to read of Cyril’s passing, he had such a gentle soul. A kind man, and extremely talented. I’d acquired many of his baskets over the years, in exchange for mechanical work my husband did on his vehicles. I put them to good use, they never fell apart, nor did they fade. My favourite is a heart made from sweet grass. It holds precious items. Goodbye, my friend, you will be missed.

Karen & Family

Our sincere condolences from the Staff at South Shore Chev Liverpool. We always enjoyed Cyril’s company when his truck was in the dealership for service.
He would always leave us with molasses cookies & cinnamon rolls at Christmas time which we all enjoyed very much.
Cyril was a fine man, and we will miss the “Basket Maker”.
Memories are golden, share them with family & friends.

Condolence from Wanda Guay on July 29th, 2020 4:50 pm

We have fond memories of Cyril each summer as he enjoyed coming to Shelburne during Founders Days. Our regiment were the lucky recipients of many jars of jam, bread and yummy cinnamon rolls.
So many of our group purchased baskets from him as did the many spectators that walked Dock St. during this celebration in July. He also mended several baskets for many people and was happy to help.
His kindness was obvious to all that had the pleasure of meeting him.
He will be missed by all that knew him.

Condolence from Susan Linda Levy on July 30th, 2020 10:10 pm

I met Cyril about 12-13 years ago when i first went to work at the advance office and he would come in for papers. We always had a good chat and he would make me treats and bring to the office but the one i liked the most was his sweet potato bread but he would never give me his recipe. He said he did not share his recipes as the only time he did was with a woman from Shelburme and after she promised she would not give it to anyone and she did so he shared no more.
