It’s hard to imagine that I spoke with Catherine so very recently. She had that same bright eyed appearance and obvious joix de vivre we all fondly recall.
Catherine and Ralph were a big part of our lives and Dad (Earl Chute) enjoyed speaking/phoning her often. Reminisces, family updates, good times.
Rest in Peace. Life is best remembered by celebrating the memories. It’s what matters most.
Sincere condolences to family and friends alike.

Your mother was a lovely lady – always friendly, smiling, and kind. She added a sparkle to my fitness classes and showed up no matter what the weather, eager to have some fun! I knew your folks years ago and noted the depth of their love for one another. My parents, Ernest and Doreen Pierce, knew your dad through Carman Pierce at Rossignol Sales. I am very sorry you’ve lost your beautiful mom.

I was so sorry to hear of Catherine’s passing. I mainly knew her from Zion United Church. She rarely missed a service and was there the other Sunday, that will be one of our last services. I also often met her when I was out walking and we would stop for a chat. I think she always took longer walks than I did even though 20 years older than I am! I admired her determination to keep active and how she pushed on through setbacks that made walking a challenge. Often in past summers we met her picking blackberries in the same area that we liked to go and we shared the same delight in making blackberry jelly. I will particularly think of her whenever the blackberries are ripe and it’s jelly making time. My thoughts are with her family now as you mourn her passing. Marjorie

Dear Donna and Liz – we are so sorry to hear of the passing of our good friend, Catherine. In years gone by we enjoyed many meals together. Probably our fondest and funniest memories of Catherine and Ralph were our Saturday nights together where we would have dinner together and then go for Line Dancing lessons which Ralph didn’t enjoy. He would stand at the back where no one could see that he was not paying any attention at all but at the end he would say “Well, that was fun”. We loved them both. Butch and Loretta

Catherine was one of the prettiest older women I have ever seen. She was always lovely, even as a young woman, but she particularly shone with beauty when she got older. I saw her at church in the summertime when I was in Nova Scotia and am very sad to think that I won’t see her again.
She and Ralph had some pretty good parties when Bill and I lived in Liverpool. We laughed a lot, and that is one of the best parts of being friends.
You, her family, were so important to her. She loved you and was proud of all your accomplishments.
I send you affection and sympathy,
Molly
