Ida came to Dr. J.C. Wickwire to sign up as a reading tutor and a lovely friendship blossomed between us.
I have a beautiful needlepoint Ida made for me as a wonderful surprise and I have always treasured it.
Always at Christmas and holidays we exchanged cards but lost touch since Christmas.
When I read of her passing, I was shocked and deeply saddened.
An animal lover and a beautiful soul with a great capacity for love… that was Ida.
To Brian and all Ida’s family… my deepest condolences on the loss of a special lady I loved very much.

My sister, Gail and I are saddened to hear of the loss of Ida. We are the grandchildren of Henry and his first wife Beatrice. After Beatrice’s passing Henry then wed Mary, Elizabeth’s Mom. So our Mom, Ellen and Ida’s Mom were step-sisters. Gail is a bit older than I am and has fond memories of visiting Elizabeth and playing with Ida although we are somewhat older. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
